ELIZABETH LYONS is the founder and director of More Fire Glass Studio in Rochester, NY. Since 1998, More Fire Glass Studio has provided a glassmaking facility for artists to produce their work as well as glass education programs for the community. Elizabeth is a sculptor and designer who works in glass and other materials. Her work can be seen in galleries and fine design showrooms throughout the United States and has appeared in design publications throughout the world. Elizabeth has been commissoned to create works for designers and collectors. Included among the awards she has received is the prestigious Anonymous Was a Woman Foundation award in 2005. Elizabeth received a BFA from Alfred University and a Masters Degree from RIT. She currently resides in Rochester, New York where she was born, having returned after living for ten years in New York City.
JENNIFER SCHINZING received a BFA from Alfred University in 2004 with a concentration in sculpture and glass. Jennifer is Studio Coordinator and First Assistant to Elizabeth Lyons at More Fire Glass Studio. Her glass and sculptural work has a significant avian influence. Her love of birds led her to hours of volunteeer work at Wild Wings, a facility that houses permanently injured birds of prey. She now serves on the board of directors of that facility.
MAHINE RATTONSEY received her BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design and her MFA from Rochester Institute of Technology. She has received scholarships to attend Pilchuck Glass School and one to attend The Glass Art Society Conference at Seattle in 2002. She is currently a resident artist at More Fire Glass Studio.
